What happens after you post

Posting is free and needs no account. From there, exactly one contractor ends up with your details — and only after they have paid to take the job.

Step by step

1. You describe the work

   In your own words, with photographs if they help. A picture of the actual gutter answers questions a category name cannot, and it is the difference between a contractor guessing and a contractor quoting.

2. It goes on the board

   Contractors see what you wrote, your photographs, and your ZIP code. They do not see your address, your name or your number — so nobody can ring you about a job they have not taken.

3. One contractor accepts it

   At that moment your details reach them and theirs reach you, and the post closes to everyone else. There is no bidding and no queue of callers, because after the first accept there is nothing left for anybody else to accept.

4. You deal with them directly

   What the work costs is between you and them. We take no commission and never see the figure — the only money that ever moves through us is what the contractor paid to take the job.

What it costs you

Nothing. Not to post, not to be matched, not to be contacted, and not when the work is done. There is no version of this where a homeowner is charged, and we take no commission on the work — we never even see what you agree to pay.

If nobody takes it

We are new, and in most places coverage is still thin. A post stays on the board for fourteen days; we will tell you at day seven if nobody has taken it, and again when it closes. Reposting is one tap, and you have spent nothing either way.

If there are no contractors in your area at all, we will say so rather than let you wait out the clock for an answer that was never coming.

What we check, and what we do not

Every contractor has confirmed a phone number, accepted our terms and put a card on file. That is what we check. We do not check licenses, insurance or references ourselves, and we do not supervise the work. Anything a contractor says about themselves is their claim, shown as their claim, and worth checking if it matters to you.

We are an introduction service. We are not party to your agreement with the contractor and we do not hold your money.
